As December came and I prepared for holiday, Khartoum was as hot as ever reaching over
105 degrees Fahrenheit everyday. I was getting ready for a little
change in temperature back in Vermont. After about 28 hours of flying
and airport waiting I arrived back in Vermont to only wake up in the
morning to a blizzard. Burlington was
flurrying
with snow, I had dropped about 95 degrees in temperature and had only a
limited supply of warm clothing; a pair of jeans, a sweatshirt, a
Sudanese scarf, and coat shell borrowed from Sam's roommate. The
temperature and weather came as shock to my body, but warmed my heart
because I was back in the snow!
