They slept in, but I got up early and walked down to a coffee shop and continued work on the lectures.
When they returned we had a classic Euro-German breakfast of meat, bread, cheese and coffee. There was only one of the choices I passed on, and Molly joked that they bought just for me because it had all the veggies in it!
Did some shopping and sightseeing, had dinner with Molly’s Army friends at a small beer bar that specialized in very high end beers, then went out to a birthday party on the outskirts of the city that was quite a raucous affair and included a bunch of ex-pats as well as plenty of Germans…and plenty of them were closer to my age than to Molly’s.
The party went very late, but I walked the 4-5km home, arriving there at 2 am (knowing that Sunday was going to be a bear since I was scheduled to leave Wiesbaden at 4 PM and arrive in Minsk at 1 am).
